US Congressman from New York. Hallock served in the New York Assembly from 1816 to 1821. Also in 1821 he was a Delegate to the New York State Constitutional Convention. Hallock was elected to the US House of Representatives as a Jacksonian in 1824 and reelected in 1826, serving from 1825 to 1829. He returned to Ridgebury after leaving Congress and served in the 1830s as Judge of the Orange County Court of Common Pleas.
