She married James Baalam Ezell on 7 Mar 1886. After his death 19 Mar 1888, she married Rev. Charles S. Gabbard.

"Rev C. S. Gabbard and Mrs. Alice Ezel were married at the home of the bride in Chapel Hill Thursday afternoon at 4 O'clock. Mr. Gabbard is pastor of Chapel Hill Circuit of Methodist Church, having been removed from this place in 1894 by act of Conference. Mrs. Ezell is the widow of the late J. Bal. Ezell, and a sister of Dr. W. A. McCord of this city. She is a most excellent and popular lady."

Mrs. Alice Jane Ezell, 73, died at 12:45 a.m. today at the home of her son, Will J. Ezell, on the Lebanon Road.

Mrs. Ezell was a life-long member of the Methodist Church. During her residence in Davidson County she was an active member of Price Memorial Church, where she served as vicr-president of the Women's Missionary Society and teacher of the Mother's Class

She is survived by two sons, Will J. Ezell of Nashville and J. Ewing Ezell of Wichita Falls, Texas; five daughters, Mrs. K. F. Dazey; Loma Linda, Calif., Mrs. W. H. McLean of Lewisburg, Tenn., and Mrs. James W. Blackmore, Mrs. Howard Miller, and Mrs. J. N. Lynn, all of Dallas, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. J. W. Patey, Bell Buckle, Tenn., Miss Mary McCord, Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Bob Pickle, Shelbyville, Tenn,; three brothers, Charles F. McCord, Monroe, La, James McCord, Lewisburg, Tenn., and Thomas N. McCord, Murfreesboro, Tenn., and sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock from Price Memorial Church, conducted by Rev. G. L. Wall. Burial will be conducted at Chapel Hill Cemetery.

Note: Her death certificate states that she was buried at Fisher Cemetery, by undertakers from Chapel Hill. She appears in "Cemetery Records of Marshall County, Tennessee" (1981) by Tim and Helen Marsh next to her first husband.
