"E. W. Fullilove Funeral Rites To Be Held Today"
"Bossier Planter Dies at Hospital After Brief Illness"

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p. m. for Edgar Walker Fullilove, 63, Bossier Parish planter, who died at 3:30 a. m. Saturday in Highland Hospital after a brief illness. Services will be at Osborn Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. D. L. Dykes and the Rev. Barry Bailey, both of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Fullilove, also a cattleman and pecan grower, was president of the Federal Land Bank of Shreveport; president of the Bossier Levee Commission, vice-president of of the Red River Valley Assn., and chairman of the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce Agricultural committee. Chairman of the first Holiday in Dixie plantation tour, he was also a
member of the Board of Stewards of First United Methodist Church for 32 years, Kappa Alpha Order, the Masons and the American Legion.
A life-long resident of Bossier Parish, he was born on Chalk Level Plantation, the son of Will James Fullilove and Annie Walker Fullilove. He was educated in Shreveport public schools and the University of Missouri, where he specialized in agriculture.
Mr. Fullilove's first wife, the former Eva Hill McDonald, died in 1939. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Avis Wilson Fullilove, a son, Will James Fullilove III; a daughter, Mrs. Caroline Fullilove Speairs; his mother, Mrs. W. J. Fullilove, all of Shreveport; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn
Burton of San Antonio, Tex.; a brother, Sam McDonald Fullilove of Guatamala City, Guatamala; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be John O. Wilson Jr., George Reynolds, Paul Burton Jr., Bryant Davidson, Ted Seyburn, Jess Thompson, Crawford Fullilove, Samford Fullilove and Jack Fullilove.
