A devoted wife & loving mother, Betty found happiness in caring for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and most recently, her great-great-grandchild.
After living in the Kansas City area for many years, Betty found her home in Eudora, Kan.
She enjoyed watching her grandsons play baseball, cherished her long talks and storytelling with children and grandchildren, and especially loved watching her great-grandchildren play at the vineyard.
Betty's many dogs, cats, and birds brought joy to her everyday life. She had new friends to watch just outside her window every season.
As part of a local quilting club, Betty pieced beautiful and award-winning quilts. She remained active with these women well beyond her quilting years. In her later years, she lent her artistic talents to jewelry making.
The only child of George and Elizabeth "Betty" Ray, Betty found strength through her Native American ancestry, which made her passing a little easier on those she left behind.
A gathering in remembrance of Betty Jane Solberg will be held Sunday, Oct. 25 at 3 pm at BlueJacket Crossing Vineyard, 1969 N. 1250 Road, Eudora, Kan.
