Business life in downtown Antioch almost came to a standstill Saturday at 1 P.M. when most business houses closed in respect to the memory of Louis L. Caple, 55, whose funeral was held at that hour.
All but a few establishments closed in a spontaneous gesture toward the popular owner of Caple Appliances who was found dead in his home Thursday. Many of the merchants and their employees were among those who overflowed facilities of the Congregational church to pay their st respects.
Following services conducted by Rev. Dimock, burial was held in Community Cemetery.
An Inquest into Caple's death probably will be held later this week. He apparently took his own life while despondent over poor health.
