Alice Bassarab was born September 16, 1928 in Manistee, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Gorley) Bassarab. She grew up and attended school, graduating from St. Joseph High School in 1947. She married Joseph P. Adamski on May 24, 1952 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manistee and he survives.
She was a former employee of the American Boxboard Company and the Morton Salt Company. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manistee.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one son, Steve Adamski, Bear Lake; her mother, Rose Bassarab, Manistee; one sister, Mrs. Bernadine (Louis) Thomas, Manistee; two nieces, Mrs. Jay (Sue) Wisniewski and Mrs. Rick (Rose) Smejkal, Manistee; and numerous cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial from the Order of Christian Funerals for Mrs. Adamski will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at st. Joseph Catholic Church, Manistee, with Fr. Robert J. Zuchowski as celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Manistee.
