Louise C. Zautner, nee Krieg, 100, formerly of West Bend died on Thursday, April 27, 2006 at Seven Oaks Health Care Center in Glendale.
She was born on May 13, 1905 in Chokio, Minn. to the late Adolph and Rosetta L. (nee Gerber) Krieg.
After graduating from St. Cloud State Teachers College, she taught elementary school in Hutchinson, Minn. for two years before moving to West Bend.
After settling in West Bend, Louise taught at St. John’s Lutheran School for seven years.
On July 27, 1935, she was united in marriage to Gerhard E. Zautner.
He passed away Aug. 12, 1996.
Louise was a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church where she volunteered with the Altar Guild for many years.
Survivors include two children, Wilbert (Carol) of Grass Lake, Mich. and Laurine Jannusch of Rochester, Minn.; three grandchildren, Laurie (Dale) Prentice of Munith, Mich., Nathan (Krista) Jannusch and Tim Jannusch, both of Cam-bridge, Minn.; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Rev. Alfred Jannusch; a grandson, Daniel Zautner; and her sisters and brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29 at 1:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor John Paustian officiating.
Entombment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
Visitation will be Friday (to-night) from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, and also Saturday at the church only from 12:30 until 1:15 p.m
