David was the fourth child of five siblings, and he had a love for sports. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Muncie, Indiana. He graduated from South Side High School in Muncie and upon graduation he joined the U.S. Army.
He served eight years in the military and after his honorable discharge he moved to Pontiac, Michigan and began his career at General Motors and later Saturn.
David moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1990 and joined Word of Faith Christian Center in Nashville in 1998 where he was re-baptized and then later attended Laypersons Bible School. He served faithfully as one of the very first deacons at Word of Faith until Saturn transferred him to Kansas City, Missouri where he quickly became a team leader.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Clark, Jr.; grandparents Stephan and Ella Fletcher, and Bennie Clark Sr.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his lovely wife, Brenda K.
