Eichmann, Bernetta E.

Bernetta E. Eichmann, age 85, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.

Bernetta was born on November 14, 1929 in the Town of Centerville to the late Stanley and Lillian Bartz Voss. She attended La Follette School in Centerville. On May 21, 1949, Bernetta married Lewis E. Eichmann at St. James Reformed Church in Spring Valley, WI. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1990. Bernetta was employed at Hamilton Industries for 28 years until her retirement in 1994. She had volunteered at the Capital Civic Center and Manitowoc Senior Center, and enjoyed spending her time gardening, playing cards, travelling, crocheting, going to English Lake, and cooking for her family and friends. Bernetta was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.

Survivors include Bernetta's two children: Jack Eichmann, Manitowoc; and Joyce Swanson, Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren: Heather Meneau, Kirk (April) Eichmann, and Nick (Katie) Eichmann; five great grandchildren: Eva, Landon, Gabriel, Calla, and Talon; daughter-in-law: Corrine Eichmann; also other relatives and friends. Bernetta was preceded in death by her husband: Lewis Eichmann; son: Jerry Eichmann; and two brothers: Nelson and Marlin Voss.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Rev. Bruce Schwark will officiate with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. Following the funeral service, a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
