A family memorial service for Albert Runneberg of Bellingham was held at St. Joseph Chapel. Mr. Runneberg died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2000, in Bellingham. He was 91.

Born Jan. 23, 1909, to Andrew and Belinda (Pearson) Runneberg in Havelock, Iowa, he earned degrees in civil engineering and geology from Iowa State University.

In 1941, he married Theresa Frasca and they settled on the family farm in Mallard, Iowa.

Mr. Runneberg was elected as county supervisor for Palo Alto County and served two terms.

Survivors include his wife, of Bellingham daughters Cathy Beaty of Bellingham and Nancy Tamuccio of New York three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
