Samuel was born July 20, 1800 and died 1883.

He was the husband of Elizabeth (Eliza) Ann Martin (c. 1808-1892). They were married in Epping on March 16, 1842.

They had four children together:
- Annie E. Plumer (C. 1843-1920)
- Charles D. Plumer (c. 1846-1862)
- Elizabeth Plumer
- Bessie Plumer

Samuel was the son of Col. Daniel (1770-1852) and Sarah (Sally) Drake (1772-1852). Daniel was the son of Samuel Plumer, Esq. (1722-1803) and Mary Dole (1731-1800). Sally was the daughter of Res. Sold Simon Drake (1730-1801) and Judith (Judea) Perkins (1736-1819).
