Robert D. Corcoran, Jr., 80, of Bayville died on Friday, May 30, 2014 at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Jersey City, he resided in Middletown before moving to Bayville in 1994.

He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War; a member of the Navy League of the USA and the American Legion in Manahawkin. Robert was Equipment Manager with the NJ Highway Authority before his retirement in 1994. He was predeceased by a sister Patricia Koegel.

Surviving are his wife Marylou Martin Corcoran; two daughters Tracey Capell of Freehold and Susan Nixon of Howell; four grandchildren Pierce Capell Jr., Elizabeth Capell, Robert Capell and Maxwell R. Nixon.

Services will take place on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen; interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen. Visitation is Monday 11:00 AM until the time of the service. To send condolences please visit costello-runyon.com.
