Beechcraft Expeditor (#1410) aircraft, on a communication flight between Regina, Saskatchewan and Calgary, Alberta, crashed 5 miles north-east of Calgary, claiming the lives of five airmen and one airwoman.
The five servicemen and one airwoman who perished in this accident were-RCAF Wing Commander Charles Frederick BURT,
RCAF (Women’s Division) Section Officer Jean Burgess ATKINSON,
RCAF Wing Commander Arthur BUCKLE MBE,
RCAF Group Captain David Gabb WILLIAMS,
RCAF Leading Aircraftman Roy Eugene WALTON and
RCAF Flying Officer Harold Perry NELSON.
