Lillian M. (Vigliaturo) Carey, 79, Bolivar, died Friday, May 19, 2006, in Citizens Memorial Hospital. Lillian was one of nine children born to Joe and Mary Vigliaturo. She was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri.

In 1948 she married William E. Carey and together they raised seven children during their 44 year marriage.

Her parents, two sisters, two brothers, her husband, and son, Michael R. Carey, preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sons, William J. Carey, Sr. and wife, Mona, Levasy, Robert A. Carey, Independence, and Stephen P. Carey and wife, Candy, Independence; three daughters, Georgia L. Esser and husband, John, Pleasant Hope, Teresa L. Carey-Dunnington and husband, Larry, Raymore, and Donna J. Bennett and husband, Larry, Lee's Summit; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, May 22, 2006, from 1 to 2 p.m. in Murray Funeral Home, Bolivar. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hope Cemetery.
