Margaret Avery, daughter of Garnett (III) and Elizabeth Key Andrews, born January 25, 1907, Chattanooga, Tenn., died May 14, 1917. Commonly known amoung her friends and kindred by the pet name of "Little Miss Mag." Her death was caused by an accident which set fire to her clothing while serving at an entertainment in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Chattanooga, to aid in the Red Cross Work at the beginning of the World War, and as she died in the service of her country as truly as any man who fell in battle, her name deserves to be recorded here.
