Mrs. Dobson was born in Trenton, Tenn., and reared in Memphis. She was a granddaughter of Robert Love Taylor, a former governor and U.S. senator in Tennessee, and sister of Peter Taylor, who won a Pulitzer Prize for literature.
She was the widow of Duncan C. Dobson, who was chief executive of Ludlow-Saylor Wire Cloth Co. and the mother of Sally Dobson Danforth.
Mrs. Dobson was active in the Junior League of St. Louis and the St. Louis chapter of the American Red Cross.
In addition to her daughter, among survivors are a son, Duncan C. Dobson Jr. of Woodside, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
