Warren Sherer is in receipt of a letter from George Reynolds, who is at Cozad stating that the latter's father died in that city at half past nine Friday morning. Deceased was 83 years of age. The remains will be brought to this city on the fast mail Sunday morning for interment. The train will arrive at 11:41 a.m. and the remains will be taken from the train to the cemetery for burial.

Lewis, son of Henry Isaac and Cartherine Sheppard Reynolds, was born in Maryland.
Lewis and Lorania Smith were married in Sangamon County, Illinois on 16 March 1837. Their children were: Eliza Jane (1839-1911), Nancy C (1841-1903), Sevila (1844-?), Isabell A(1847-1948), Thomas R. R. (1848-1853), Caroline A (1851-1928) and Acil P (1853-1926).
The family was living in Tazewell, Illinois in 1850. Lewis and Mary Jane Warren were married in Scott County, Iowa on 16 April 1854. Their children were Emma Ascenoth Zook (1858-1914), George W (1868-1921) and Lincoln A (1869-1888). The family was living in Livington, Missouri in 1860, Bloomington, McLean County Illinois in 1870 and White Oak, MeClean County, Illinois in 1880. Sometime after 1880, the family moved to Dawson County, Nebraska where Lewis died.
