Henry Palmer, age 13 years, was enumerated August 28, 1850, at Jersey County, Illinois, with L. D. Palmer 69, Isabella Palmer 47, Julia Palmer 15, Quincy A. Palmer 7. Henry K. De Palmer, age 23 years, was enumerated June 15, 1860, at Litchfield, Montgomery County, Illinois, with Louis De Palmer 80, Isabella De Palmer 54, Julia De Palmer 24.

Henry K. Palmer, age 23 years, whose residence was Springfield, Illinois, enlisted April 16 and mustered in as corporal, Company D, 7th Illinois Infantry (3-months), April 25, 1861. During his service he was reduced to the ranks and was mustered out as a private at Springfield, Illinois, July 25, 1861. Henry H (sic, K). Palmer enlisted and mustered in as private, Company K, 14th Illinois Infantry, September 1, 1861. During his service he was promoted to Hospital Steward. The date and method of his discharge is not shown in the period record. Henry K. Palmer also served as a Contract Surgeon, United States Army.

Henry K. Palmer graduated as a Doctor of Allopathic from Rush Medical College, Chicago, during 1867. H. K. Palmer, age 42 years, was enumerated June 11, 1880, at Trinidad, Las Animas County, Colorado, with Flora Palmer 36, J. M. Palmer 13, Leila I. Palmer 10, Ethel Palmer 7.

Pueblo. Colo., Dec. 7.-H. K. Palmer, aged 65, dropped dead in the street today. He was a brother of Senator Palmer of Illinois. He served with distinction as a surgeon in the Union army during the war and spent several years in India as a medical missionary.
