ROSENMAN--Audrey . The Board of Directors and staff of Citizens' Committee for Children of New York mourn the passing of Audrey Rosenman and extend our condolences to her family, friends and the colleagues who share our deep respect for and awe of her lifelong commitment to New York's children and families. Ms. Rosenman was a decades long supporter of CCC and, as a Board Member, was a tireless champion of our YouthAction NYC program, serving New York City high school students. She will be greatly missed. Judith Garson, Chairman Maryann Marston, President Jennifer March-Joly, Acting Executive Director ROSENMAN--Audrey (nee Askin) died October 18, 2007 at the age of 73. Born in New York City to Arnold Askin and Fannie (Halff.) Beloved wife of Mervin Rosenman, deceased. Loving mother of Laurie and Christina Weltz, sister of Edith Ehrlich, devoted grandmother of India Ennenga, Edmond and Oliver Ritter. Audrey graduated from Barnard College and received a Masters in Social Work from Columbia University. She worked for many years as a a therapist both in private practice and as counselor to the Chapin School. She was actively involved with the Henry Street Settlement, joining the Board in 1961 and serving as Chairman from 1987-2003. She also was involved with Citizens' Committee for Children and the President's Council at Barnard. Audrey will be remembered for her tireless energy and unbridled enthusiasm for life. She will be missed by many. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 25th at 5pm at Frank E. Campbell (The Funeral Chapel) Madison Ave. at 81st Street, NY. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Audrey's name to the Henry Street Settlement. ROSENMAN--Audrey. Audrey will be remembered as a strong but gentle leader and generous benefactor whose dedication to Henry Street will be felt for many years to come. She left an indelible mark not only on Henry Street and the Lower East Side community, but on all New Yorkers whose lives she touched personally and even more who reaped the benefits of the Settlement's services she nurtured.
