Retired Textile Manufacturer Was Prominent in Berkshire District

Pittsfield, July 10 - George T Plunkett, 76, a retired textile manufacturer of Hinsdale, died tonight at his home, 205 South street, this city, of a paralytic stroke. He was born in Hinsdale where he was active in town affairs and where he lived up until 1919. He was a director of Berkshire Life Insurance Company.
His wife who died July 6, 1918 was Mrs Kate Crane Richards, sister of the late W Murray Crane. Five grandchildren survive. They are Mrs Philip Weston and Brenton Crane Pomeroy of Pittsfield, Mrs J Clark Washburn of Winnetka, Ill., Miss Katherine Pomeroy and Ashley Richards Pomeroy of Greenwich, Ct. The funeral will be held at the Hinsdale Congregational Church Wednesday afternoon and burial will be in the Hinsdale cemetery.
