PEORIA - Kenneth W. Elger, 85, formerly of Peoria, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2004, at Rosewood Care Center.
Born Sept. 9, 1918, in Peoria to Harry and Mary Hill Elger, he married Magdelene Miskimen . She died in 1984 in Peoria.
He also was preceded in death by one son, Michael Elger in 1984; three sisters; and one brother.
Surviving are one daughter, Pamela (and Gary) Heinz of Lakeland, Fla.; two sons, Kevin of Peoria and James (and Kathy) of Hanna City; five grandchildren; one sister, Anna (and Loran) Horn of Morton; and one brother, Robert of Peoria.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
A construction worker, he was a member of Central Laborers Union for over 50 years.
Cremation will be accorded. Private graveside services will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Arrangements are by Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel.
