DONALD R. FLYNN, 85, passed away on Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, in Fort Wayne. Born in Worthington, Ind., Don worked as a general foreman with Mag navox, retiring after 25 years. He served his country proudly and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. Don enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, cheering for the Cleveland Browns, and had a special love for his dogs, Bell Bell and Sally. Surviving are his daughters, Donna (Paul) Bendele of Ft. Collins, Colo. and Dina Andrews of Fort Wayne; sons, Samuel (Chris) Flynn and Bob (Chris) Flynn, both of Payne, Ohio; step-daughters, Teresa (Vance) Raber of Columbia City and Lisa (Nathan) Marshall of Nokomis, Fla.; stepson, Michael (Kay) Marshall of Fort Wayne; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Doris Dalton of Danville, Ind. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Charlotte; parents, Samuel and Maxine Flynn; a great-grandson; six brothers; and two sisters. Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at the funeral home.
