Born in Marblehead, she had been a lifelong resident there. Mrs. Shinn was a graduate of the Star of the Sea School and graduated from Marblehead High School in 1964.
Mrs. Shinn was a partner with her husband in the Village Rug Co., Marblehead. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Marblehead.
Mrs. Shinn is survived by her husband, Edward "Ned" C. Shinn, Jr.; her mother, Anne (Brophy) Bailey; two daughters, Emily A Shinn and Sara E. Shinn, both of Marblehead; two sisters, Claire M. Turner and Christine E. Beringer, both of Marblehead, a grandchild and a nephew. She was the daughter of the late Norman Bailey.
A funeral will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday from the Eustis & Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm St., Marblehead, to be followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Marblehead.
