Served at the Military Academy 1824-1825, as Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Mineralogy and Geology, and Assistant Professor of Geography, History and Ethics; from April 1825 to May, 1828, on topographical duty.
He resigned May 13, 1828 and pursued law.
