DEATH OF A. D. NIELSON

Death Occurs At His Home At 2 O'Clock This Morning.

A. D. Nielson, the Woodfin street grocer, died at his home on Woodfin street, this morning at 2 o'clock, of pneumonia, following an attack of the grippe.

Mr. Neilson had his first illness about Thanksgiving Day. He at one time was very much improved, but a few days spent at his place of business, brought on a relapse. Although he was considered better at times, the progress of the disease could not be permanently stayed.

Mr. Neilson was about 47 years of age. He was the oldest son of Dr. Morgan Neilson and Mrs. Laura Vance Nielson. He was a nephew of Zebulon B. Vance and General R. B. Vance.

A wife and six children survive him.

He was a quiet, honorable citizen, and a man who was held in high esteem by all who knew him. His death will be received with deep regret.

The funeral occurred this afternoon at 3 o'clock, from the residence. The services being conducted by, Rev. H. F. Chreitzberg, pastor of Central M. E. church, South.

The interment was at Riverside.

Pallbearers were: J. J. Mackey, W. H. Penland, C. H. Miller, J. D. Brevard, J. Hardy Lee, and N. A. Reynolds.
