Information has reached this country of the drowning, on April 24th, of Henry G Davis, Jr, a son of ex-senator Henry G Davis, of this State, while returning to the United States from South Africa on the steamship Munkesenton. Mr Davis had been in poor heath and had decided to cruise to South Africa in a sailing vessel. Upon reaching Cape Colony he concluded to return home, and on this trip the accident occurred. Details could not be learned.
