WESTBROOK - Barbara (Anderson) Winton, 80, of Westbrook, formerly of Christian Ridge, Wolfeboro, N.H., passed away Dec. 10, 2003 in Westbrook. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard Winton.

She was born April 2,1923 in Winchester, Mass., a daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Anderson. She grew up in Winchester and graduated from Winchester High School. She later worked at the State Street Bank in Boston and the Winchester Trust Company. The Winton's left Mass in 1966, taking up residence as the first family to live year round on Pine River Pond in East Wakefield, N.H.

Mrs. Winton also worked at the Gafney Library in Sanbornville, N.H. for 15 years as assistant librarian and librarian in the seventies and eighties.

From 1986 to January 2003, she had lived in Wolfeboro, N.H., since then she has lived in Westbrook.

She was the loving mother of four sons, Gary R., Melbourne, Fla. and Alfred, Kenneth A., Westbrook, Robert D, Palin Bay, Fla.; and Peter A., Connecticut; seven grandchildren; and two great - grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held in the Lovell Lake Cemetery, Sanbornville, N.H. at a later date.
