Eileen E. Miklas, born at Camden, NJ December 20, 1924; died October 12, 2007 at Grand Rapids. Eileen was daughter of Harvey E. and Elizabeth Anderson of Manistee, MI. She earned her RN diploma at Columbia Hospital, Milwaukee, WI in 1946. In 1948 she married Vincent A. Miklas at Manistee. He survives. Other survivors are: daughter, Paula A. White (husband, Norman Young) of Portage, MI; daughter, Nina M. (James) Cunningham of Roswell, GA; son, Mark M. Miklas of Dearborn, MI; daughter-in-law, Pamela Miklas of Wayne, MI; grandson, Jeff (Amy) White of Shawnee,KS; granddaughter, Amy M. White of Chicago, IL; grandson, Nathan Miklas of Dearborn, MI; granddaughter, Zoe Miklas of Wayne, MI; great grandchildren, Adam and Celeste White of Shawnee, KS; and a number of nephews and nieces. Eileen was preceded in death by sons, Vincent and Shawn and grandson, Matthew. Surviving are brothers, Thomas Anderson of San Diego, CA and John (Marcia) Anderson of Muskegon, MI and sister, Jem Schmeling of Norton Shores, MI. Also surviving are sister- and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Thomas Stege of Manistee. Eileen was a member of Basilica of St. Adalbert, Grand Rapids. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, October 19, at Guardian Angels Church, Fifth Street and Sycamore, in Manistee, MI. No visitation or viewing, but friends and family may meet at the church vestibule an hour prior to the Mass. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Manistee.
