Eunice Caroline Carlisle, of Sherwood, passed away May 16, 2003 at the age 75. She was born November 11, 1927 in England, Arkansas to Joe Odus and Mattie Lee Cora (Wilson) Freeman.
Mrs. Carlisle was retired from AT&T. She was a member of Sylvan Hills Community Church and Past Worthy Matron of Pulaski Heights Eastern Star. She loved working in her yard and was the best mother and grandmother. She was the "rock of our family" and was always there for those she loved.
Her husband, W.J. Carlisle, and two sons, Luther J. Carlisle and Richard L. Carlisle precede Mrs. Carlisle in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Vaught and her husband Glen; son, Bill Carlisle, jr. and daughter, Lucy Carlisle; seven grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Virginia Stewart.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2003 at Sherwood First Baptist Church, 206 Fairway, Sherwood (501) 835-3154 with Reverend Paul McClung and Reverend Tim McMinn officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
A gathering of family and friends will be held in her honor from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2003 at Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock (501) 835-3515.
Memorials may be made in her honor to Arkansas Hospice, 2200 Ft. Roots Dr., North Little Rock, AR 72114.
