The daughter of the late Joseph and Providence Mattassa Ippolito, she was born on January 26, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY.
She attended St. Joseph's Church in Wurtsboro, and also enjoyed writing poetry and attending poetry readings.
Survivors include; her husband, Albert Caravello at home in Phillipsport; two daughters, Maria Bartkey and husband David of Manalapan, NJ, and Loretta Caravello of North Arlington, NJ; one granddaughter, Sara-Jean Bartkey; two brothers, John Ippolito and his wife Grace of Lindenhurst, NY, and Rosario Ippolito and his wife Vivian of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Rosanna Hafner and husband Richard of Lakewood, NJ. Connie was predeceased by her beloved son Paul Charles Caravello a/k/a Eric Carr, the former drummer of the rock group KISS.
Friends may call at the Cornelius, Dodd and Connell Funeral Home, 26 Grove St.,Middletown, NY on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 2-4 and from 6-8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 AM Wednesday, September 8th at St. Joseph's Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown, NY. Entombment will take place in the mausoleum of Cedar Hill Cemetery, Middlehope, NY immediately following the Mass.
