Carl Gustaf Salmonson, 711 East State Street, passed away this morning at one-thirty o'clock following a short illness.
He was born September 4, 1850 at Berga-Smaland, Sweden, and had been a resident of Olean thirty-five years.
He was a member of the Swedish Lutheran Church and of the Order of Maccabees.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. B.P. Anderson, Mrs. O.G. Nelson, Mrs. Josephine Llewellyn and Mrs. Archie Bowser of Olean and Mrs. Carl A. Johnson of Westons; three sons, C. Arthur of Olean, John G. of Allegany and Iver V. of Bradford; a brother and a sister at Stockholm, Sweden, sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
