YORK Mary M. "Maddy" Rose, 90, entered into rest Friday, November 8, 2013, at Manor Care North. She was the wife of Albert L. Rose for 67 years. A viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas R. Hoke officiating. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Mrs. Rose was born February 16, 1923, in Bendersville, a daughter of the late William O. and Pearl Belle (Delauney) Routsong. She was a graduate of Biglerville High School and attended St. Rose of Lima Church. Mary, a homemaker, was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her favorite pastimes included baking, knitting, crocheting and painting beautiful ceramics which her family will cherish forever. Mary is survived by her husband; children, Dennis R. Rose, Joanne M. Rose, Patrick J. Rose and his wife Karen, and Anne Marie Himes and her husband Timothy; grandchildren, Christopher M. Rose, Matthew J. Helfrich, Jessica E. Pugliano, Jamie L. Sowers, Kyle M. Rose, and Kendra I. Rose; great-grandchildren, Natalie E. Helfrich, Colton M. Rose, and Mattthew J. Helfrich, Jr. She was the last surviving of seven children. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael A. Rose; a daughter Teresa J. Helfrich; and a grandson Jonathan L. Sowers.
