Ferris appeared in some 120 films, among them "Tillie and Gus" (1933), "Behind the Mike" (1937), "You Can't Cheat an Honest Man" (1939), "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" (1939), "Back Street" (1941), "Blossoms in the Dust" (1941), "Wilson" (1944), "The Gunfighter" (1950), and "The Siege At Red River" (1954). The Texas-born Taylor performed on Broadway and was a radio announcer (which he also played onscreen) before coming to films in 1933.
