Marion Margery Warren Scranton worked for women's suffrage from 1912 until 1920 when the 19th Amendment was adopted.

She was a member of the Pennsylvania Republican State Committee from 1922-34; Vice-Chair of PA Republican Party from 1926-28; delegate to Republican National Convention from PA 1928, 1932, 1936, 1940, 1944 and 1948; member of Republican National Committee from PA, 1928-51; Vice-Chair of Republican National Committee from 1936-38.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames, and American Legion Auxiliary.

She married Worthington Scranton on April 12, 1907.
