William Sherrod "Booda" Payne, Jr., 22, of New Bedford died unexpectedly February 3, 2008.
He was the loving son of Kim Nelson Payne of New Bedford and the brother of Kayla Perez of New Bedford and Brandon Payne of Marion.
He was the beloved companion of Lakiesha Baptista of New Bedford, the devoted father of Zaylaney and Tamia Payne and step-father of Indialy Alarcon.
William was the much loved grandson of James and Barbara Roderiques of New Bedford.
Survivors include his mother, sister, brother and grandparents; his great-aunt, Florence Tavares of New Bedford; his 4 aunts, Evelyn Nelson-Houser of New Jersey, Robyn and Stacey Nelson and Tara Roderiques, all of New Bedford; an uncle, Dwayne Nelson of New Bedford; and many cousins and friends.
William will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
