Robert F. Coil, 89, St. Joseph, Missouri died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at St. Luke's Northland, Kansas City, Missouri. He was born May 4, 1924 to William and Ruth (Wilson) Coil. Robert married Norma R. O'Neal July 18, 1946, who preceded him in death on May 22, 2013. He was a banker for 38 years and served in the Naval Air Corp during WWII in the Pacific Fleet. Robert was a life member of Pony Express Post #359 American Legion, 50 year member of Charity Lodge #351 – A.F. & A.M., 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, Moila Shrine and Country Club, member of Island City Christian Church and was an avid golfer. Also preceding him in death were his parents; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters. Survivors: daughters, Connie Trice (Richard), and Rita Garcia (Hector); grandsons, Robert Knapp (Michelle), Phillip Knapp (Shannon), and Alex Garcia; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and sister, Violet Duley. Memorial Graveside Services: 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery.
