Age 76 years.

From the "Worcester Daily Spy," (Worcester, MA), 14 march 1903:
Miss Harriet Pamela Foster Burnside, the last member of one of Worcester's oldest families, died yesterday morning at 9 o'clock at an advanced age.
She was a daughter of Hon. Samuel M. Burnside and Sophia Dwight (Foster) Burnside.
Her father was a well known lawyer of this city, and her grand-father, Dwight Foster, was United States Senator from Massachusetts for many years.
She was one of the wealthiest women in Worcester.
Her residence, 17 Chestnut Street, has long been known as a place where friends of charitable work and friends of the family might gather and always be welcome.
She was well known throughout Worcester for her hospitality, and was always willing to aid the needy and worthy poor, although her charitable work was of a private nature.
Miss Burnside and her sister, Elizabeth Dwight Burnside, who died four years ago, were leaders in Worcester's highest society for many years.
Since the death of her sister in 1899, she has lived in the family home on Chestnut street and has been devoted to the study of music and literature....
Her property, inherited from the grandfather and father, comprised an estate which had few equals in this city.
The Burnside building is a part of the real estate possessions of the deceased.
She was the last direct decendant of the Burnside family and was the only one of that name residing in Worcester.
She is survived by two cousins living in Worcester, Mrs. R. P. Dunn and Mrs. Henry Clark, and also by a cousin, Dwight Foster of Boston....
