Thomas Joseph Capizzi, of Hot Springs Village passed away April 28, 2013, at the age of 89 due to natural causes. Tom was born in New Jersey on December 3, 1923, of Sicilian-Italian immigrants, a heritage of which he was proud. Upon return home from WWII, Tom attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater on the GI Bill, graduating with a degree in engineering, he worked successively for Allis-Chalmers, General Electric and Cummins Engine Company, the latter of which Tom retired in the early 1980's.

A WWII veteran and Air Force pilot, he is survived by his wife, Carolyn, two sons and three daughters. Tom and Carolyn have been residents of Hot Springs Village since 1993; most recently, Tom has resided at Village Springs Health and Rehabilitation.

Per Tom's wishes, no service or memorial will be held.

Tom's wide circle of friends is testament to his spirit, and to his many acts of kindness towards family, friends and those he encountered along the way that were fortunate enough to have known him.
