In his early life he was employed by the Federal government in the Department of Pensions. Later he was in the insurance business in Oklahoma and Texas. In recent years he was connected with the information department of the Rayon Mills at Elizabethton.
Taylor contributed to magazines and newspapers and was co-author with his brothers Alfred A and James P Taylor on the "Life and Career of Bob Taylor."
He is survived by his widow and two sisters, Mrs Rhoda Reeves, Abingdon, Va and Mrs Walter J Miller, Johnson City.
