Son of John Cross McRobie and Catherine Mearns Webster.

In 1891, Louis McRobie, aged 18, a W.D.G. clerk, was living in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in the home of his parents, John McRobie, aged 60, and Catherine McRobie, aged 55, both of Scotland, with siblings, Thomas, 27, a mail clerk, Annie, 25, William, 22, Lizzie, 20, a telephone clerk, Fred, 16, an H.H.W. clerk, and Kate McRobie, aged 14. Also living in the household was his grandmother, Elizabeth, McRobie, aged 85. His father was shown to be a gentleman.

United Dominion Douglas Church - Burial- Louis Paton McRobie, of the City of Montreal, in the Province of Quebec, Accountant, son of John Cross McRobie and his wife Catherine Burns Webster, died in the said City and Province on the twenty-ninth day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine hundred and thirty-five in the sixty-fourth year of his age and was buried in Mount Royal Cemetery in the said city and province on the thirty-first day of the same month and year. A. Leoy T. Smith, Officiating Clergyman, Witnesses; Tom McRobie, P.D. Robertson.
