Frank Baker Bristow, Rhodes scholar, journalist, photographer and lawyer, is buried in Gypsum Hill cemetery beside his famous father, U. S. Sen. Joseph L. Bristow, the former editor and publisher of The Salina Journal.

Frank Bristow was born in Baldwin, Kansas December 13, 1885. He came to Salina with his parents in 1890. He died February 23, 1968, at his home in Vienna, Virginia.

He was a 1907 graduate of Baker University. He then studied at Oxford, England, from 1910 to 1913 as a Rhodes Scholar. He was admitted to the Kansas bar in 1914. In Salina, he wrote editorials for The Journal, developed his hobby as a photographer, and practiced law. He was appointed a referee in bankruptcy court in 1930.

In 1944, Mr. Bristow moved to Virginia to take charge of his father's extensive properties which were acquired during his time in the Senate. While in Salina, Mr. Bristow was a president of the Saline county bar association, a vice - president of the Lions club and a member of the Gridiron club.

He was survived by a brother, Joseph 0. Bristow, of Arlington, Virginia, and nieces and nephews.
