Masonic Notice
South Memphis Lodge, No. 118, is in deep sorrow. Our Junior Warden, Bro. Geo. D. Plummer is among whose who have sacrificed themselves on the altar of duty and "become a martyr to his faith." He was untiring in his zeal for the relief of our afflicted members. Day and night he labored to relieve their sufferings and contribute to their comfort, until the destroyer overtook him in the midst of his work and called him home.
Our hearts weep for the loss we have sustained, and the afflicted will miss an angel of mercy that has so often hovered over their bedside.
Alas, poor Hiram! At some future time proper respect will be paid to his memory.
