Regiment, and a son of the late Jacob Grove, the first Steward of the Carroll County Home, died last November 1925, at his home in the West, aged about 81 years. He leaves a widow and family of sons and daughters in the West. He enlisted in 1862, and served until the close of the War. By his death there are but 8 of his company living. He had many friends and occasionally visited his old comrade, John H. Mitten, of this city.
