Elmo Charles Keitel was born July 22, 1956 inMuskogeeOklahoma. He went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 13, 2012. Elmo is the son of James E. Keitel Sr. and Iva Ruth (Hoyt) Keitel. Elmo grew up in a loving home filled with laughter and joy. As a child Elmo enjoyed a variety of things from playing sports, with basketball being his favorite, to motorcycle riding and skydiving, but always having time to spend with his family. Elmo graduated high school in 1974 fromMuskogeeHigh Schooland joined the United States Air Force the same year. Elmo served his country from 1974 to 1979 as an Aviation Fuel Systems and Maintenance Mechanic while being stationed inSacramento, CA.,Madrid,Spainand SAC Air Base inOmaha, NE., acquiring the rank of Staff Sergeant for his hard work. Elmo returned toMuskogeeafter serving his country and later worked in sales. He was briefly married and had a daughter, Melissa Keitel, who is forever in our hearts. Elmo accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized. He later married Patricia Carter and raised a son, Tommy Carter, both of whom he loved dearly.

Elmo was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Keitel, his beloved son, Tommy Carter, and his mother, Iva Ruth Keitel.

Elmo will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Boulevard Christian Church inMuskogee,Oklahomaat 2:00pm.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
