Ervin married Josephine Chucka on May 5, 1951 at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Pound, Wisconsin. The couple operated a farm in the Town of Beaver. His wife preceded him in death on May 31, 1991.
He then married Louise Fabiszak on October 6, 1993 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Coleman, Wisconsin.
Ervin enjoyed journaling, crossword puzzles, picking stones, playing cards and watching game shows. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and spending time in his backyard.
Surviving him are his wife Louise;
three daughters: Mary Ellen (Tom) Cullen of Madison, WI; Donna (Dennis) Stazek of Virginia and Debra (Roger) Peterson of Green Bay, WI;
ten step-children;
numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
one brother Donald (Beverly) Boerschinger of Porterfield, WI
and one sister-in-law Dolly Boerschinger of Coleman, WI.
Besides his parents and his first wife Josephine, he was preceded in death by a son Jimmy; a step-son Daniel Boris; four brothers: Jule, Paul, Harvey and Albert and four sisters: Adeline, Regina, Eunice and Marie.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Crivitz, Wisconsin with burial in St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery in Pound, Wisconsin.
