Vernon Eugene Morgan, 79, of Cabot, Arkansas, born January 13, 1933 to Virgil and Mary McClung Morgan, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012. Gene proudly served his country and was retired from the United States Air Force. Gene was a member of the American Legion, Post 71. He loved the outdoors, played golf when he could, was an excellent craftsman with wood, and loved to help others. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Mary Morgan and sister, Donna Calloway.
Gene is survived by his wife; four children, two sons and one daughter-in-law; two daughters and one son-in-law. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A special thank you to all the friends and family that continued to visit Gene while a resident at Cabot Nursing Home and Rehab Center.
